"The strawberry Unjury has made it so much easier to get my protein. I was beginning to reject the heavier shake types of proteins and dreaded having one more of those. I now find the break from that is so refreshing. In the morning at again at bedtime, I put a couple of ice cubes and a bit of water into my blender. I crush the ice thoroughly on that setting first...then toss in 3 strawberries and a packet of Unjury strawberry. If I am craving sweets, I toss in a packet of Splenda or two to make it really sweet. It has a wonderful natural taste and is a delightful way to get my protein each day after my gastric bypass."

I'm not considering WLS anymore (started working with a personal trainer instead) but I'm still using unjury for a post-wprkout protein and it's awesome awesome awesome. the choc flavor is great in soy milk. i have also used 1/2 scoop of unflavored in grits (1/2 scoop in 4 servings grits) - slight smell of scrambled eggs but it is TRULY UNFLAVORED. "I was looking for a protein supplement to ensure I get enough protein (I'm an ultramarathoner and I work out daily) but I hated everything else on the market (MuscleMilk - yuck!) and the other brands are much higher in calories and fat. My best friend starting using Unjury after having gastric bypass surgery (her nutritionalist told her about it) and she suggested I try it. I was hooked with my first glass! I now keep a container of powder at the office and at home and it's my go-to snack post-workout.
I also love the packets - I take them when I travel so I don't have to worry about getting my protein!
I only put 4 starts for Value, but really, I think it's 4.5. The reality is all protein supplements are expensive so you just have to suck it up and buy it. =) "

I started on the protein shakes as meal replacements twice a day when I was beginning my pre -op diet for Lap Band surgery. I found that Unjury tastes very good when mixed with light soymilk (less carbs) and flavored with SF dry jello pudding powders (any flavor). It is very important to use a blender and only blend the dry and liquid ingredients first, then add any ice that you prefer. If you add the ice at the beginning with the dry ingredients you can get a gritty texture.
Since banding, I only use the protein shake in the morning as I don't usually have time for a solid breakfast, and I find it keeps me full until lunch with no cravings mid morning.
It has been a big part of my Lap Band success........... 60 lbs in 6 months thus far.

I use it for at least two meals each day. I but it in the large VitaMix machine with few cubes of ice, may be a small piece of banana and a strawberry and non-fat milk, a\nd a few splenda, it is so delicious.
